What does optimizing actually do?: Phone cameras record at sizes and bitrates far beyond what social playback needs. This tool scales the video down and re-encodes it, so it uploads faster and plays without stutter.
Does my video get uploaded anywhere?: No. Everything runs in your browser using your device's hardware video encoder. Nothing leaves your computer.
Will I see a quality difference?: At reel sizes, no. A 9:16 feed rarely displays more than 720p worth of pixels, so the Balanced preset looks the same as the original on a phone screen.
What video formats are supported?: MP4, MOV, WebM, and MKV. Output is always MP4 (H.264) for maximum compatibility with Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and email.
